TASTES LIKE: bright cranberry sweetness, golden raisin notes over a clean, peaty-whisky finish
ORIGIN: Guatemala Guaya'b
This one’s a team favourite - bright cranberry sweetness, golden raisin notes, a clean body, and a light peaty-whisky finish., this Guatemala Guaya'b is a good time - especially as a filter or plunger.
The Guaya'b cooperative unites over 450 indigenous farmers in western Huehuetenango's rugged mountains. Together they've built a modern wet processing mill, enabling consistent quality while supporting members with higher prices and technical assistance to improve quality - you can taste that in your cup this morning!
Cultivated up to 2000 meters in Huehuetenango's unique climate - where hot, dry Mexican winds prevent frost - these small, dense Bourbon, Typica and Caturra coffees create a beautifully balanced washed Fairtrade organic coffee with mild berry aromas, finely balanced acidity, and a little sneaky sweetness.
Guaya'b delivers premium specialty coffee that captures Guatemala's indigenous heritage while building sustainable futures for farming communities.
Like all Common Good Coffee - $5 per kg sold of this coffee supports the work of Joyya: sparking good in places of extreme poverty and modern slavery.
